Miss Stephany - Owner/Founder/Director
Hello, my name is Stephany and I am the owner, founder and director at A Little Journey Montessori School. I recently graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with my master's in early childhood education. I also have a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University, along with a MACTE accredited Montessori teaching certificate from Authentic Institute of Montessori (formly Age of Montessori). I have a decade of experience working with children in a Montessori setting and nearly a decade of being a director of a Montessori. I always knew that I wanted to work with children in some way but finding your passion doesn't always come easy. It was my enthusiasm for teaching young children and my love for the Montessori method that inspired me to open A Little Journey Montessori School. I also wanted to create more quality childcare that parents could trust and provide an environment for young children to thrive in. It is my commitment as a program to help families that need excellence in education, quality childcare and a place where working families can bring their children in which they feel comfortable with and trust. I have created a space for children 6 weeks to 6 years old to serve families with more than one child and allow them the convenience of having their children together in one space. It also allows the ability for the child to learn and grow independently without having to be in a classroom merely based on their age.

Miss Erica - Director
Hello, my name is Erica, and I am a director at A Little Journey Montessori School. I bring more than a decade of experience in communications, business development, and organizational leadership to my role. As an LJMS parent, I chose this community years ago for my own children, and now I'm proud to show up each day for all the children in our care. Studying English Literature at the University of Michigan gave me a love of language and learning that I've always enjoyed sharing with others. Over the years, I've tutored, coached youth athletes, coordinated free summer programs, and taught after-school creative writing workshops for children ages 5–8. Through these experiences, I found great purpose in fostering children’s self-expression, curiosity, and desire to learn. That sense of purpose is a big part of what brought me here. Maria Montessori designed her method to prepare children for their educational and societal future, and you’ll find that vision reflected in the curriculum, programming, and people at LJMS. As both a parent and a director, I am honored to serve the children, teachers, leaders, and families who are a part of our school community.
